Privacy Policy

Last updated October 29, 2026

In short: we collect what we need to run Tagsbay, we use your activity to personalize Tagsbay only with your choice, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

1. Who we are

Tagsbay is owned and run by TAGSBAY.COM LLC, a California limited liability company, at 4888 Creekwood Dr, Fremont, CA 94555, United States ("Tagsbay", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Tagsbay apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, and tagsbay.com. We are responsible for your personal data as described here.

2. What we collect

What you give us

  • Account details: your name, phone number or email address, and your birth year to confirm you are 18 or older. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email they share (Apple may give a private relay address).
  • Delivery details: addresses and the pin you place on the map.
  • What you post and send: posts, comments, stories, clips, lives, reviews, chat and group messages, voice messages, photos, videos and files, and what you ask Tia.
  • Orders: what you buy, return or save, your bag and wishlist, and the kind of payment you used. Card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see your full card number.
  • Support: your messages to us, and the app and system version shown before you send a problem report.
  • Sellers and businesses: shop and business details, products, and payout details given to our payment provider.

What we collect when you use Tagsbay

  • Activity in the app: what you view, tap, save, follow, watch and search for in Tagsbay, and which ads you see and tap. We record events, not the words you type.
  • Location, only when you ask: when you tap Use my location, look for places near you or send your location in a chat, after the phone asks your permission and only while the app is open. We never follow your location in the background. We also work out the city of each sign-in from the network address, for sign-in alerts.
  • Contacts, only when you ask: if you tap Find friends from your contacts, phone numbers are scrambled (hashed) on your phone and matched. We don't keep your contacts and never message them.
  • Device and security information: a notification token so we can send the notifications you allow, and a check from Apple or Google that the app is genuine, to protect accounts from fraud.

What stays on your phone

Some things never leave your phone: chat translation runs on the phone, speech for Tia and voice search uses the phone's own speech recognition, camera effects are added on the phone, and your watch history for personalizing is kept on the phone.

3. How we use it

To run TagsbayYour account, orders, delivery, payments, chats, calls, lives, Tia, support, and showing what you post to the people you choose.
To keep Tagsbay safeSign-in alerts, stopping fraud, spam and scams, checking reports, and meeting legal duties.
To improve TagsbayCounting what is used so we can fix and improve the app.
To personalize, with your choiceIf Personalize my Tagsbay is on, your activity shapes your shopping profile (Your TIP), recommendations and Tia's suggestions.
For ads, with your choiceAds based on your activity are off until you turn them on. When on, your activity in Tagsbay chooses which promoted posts you see. Ads in Tagsbay are only for products and shops on Tagsbay.
To contact youOrder updates, security messages, and the deal alerts and reminders you turn on.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on our contract with you (to run Tagsbay), our legitimate interests (safety and improvement), your consent (personalizing and ads based on your activity), and legal obligations.

4. What we never do

  • We don't sell your personal data.
  • We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and the app doesn't use an advertising identifier.
  • We don't include third-party advertising or analytics kits in the app.
  • We never use health, pregnancy, intimate or adult products, religion, or anything that could reveal them to build your profile or to show you ads.
  • Paid placements never appear in Tia's answers.

5. Who we share it with

  • Shops you buy from: your name, delivery address, phone number and order, so they can send it. Shops may only use these details for your order.
  • People you choose: what you post is seen by the audience you pick; messages go to the chat you send them in. Friends see your activity only where you allow it.
  • Service providers working for us: our cloud host (Amazon Web Services), our payment provider (Stripe), maps and addresses (Google Maps), notification services (Apple and Google), and the AI model provider behind Tia (Anthropic). They may use the data only to provide their service to us, under contract. The AI provider does not train its models on your conversations.
  • App stores: when you buy boost credits in the app, Apple or Google handles the payment under their own privacy policy.
  • For legal reasons: when the law requires it, or to protect people from harm or fraud.
  • If the company changes hands: in a merger or sale, your data moves only under this policy's protections, and we'll tell you.

6. Your choices

In the app, under Settings and the Privacy center, you can:

  • turn Personalize my Tagsbay and Ads based on my activity on or off;
  • see, correct, pause or delete Your TIP, and see why you were shown something;
  • choose who sees your posts, who can message you, and hide from friends' activity;
  • turn notifications and deal alerts on or off;
  • turn off Tia in any chat (No AI in this chat);
  • download your data, or delete your account.

You can also turn off location, contacts, camera, microphone and notifications at any time in your phone's settings.

7. How long we keep it

  • Activity events: 90 days.
  • What Your TIP has learned: up to 24 months after your last activity.
  • Your account and content: until you delete them. After you delete your account, within 30 days.
  • Order, payment and tax records: as long as the law requires, usually up to 7 years.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the United Arab Emirates, the European Union, the United Kingdom, India or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, to object to or limit some uses, and to withdraw consent at any time. Most of this you can do yourself in the app. For anything else, email privacy@tagsbay.com; we'll confirm it's you and answer within the time the law sets. We won't treat you differently for using your rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in California law, and we don't use sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to run Tagsbay.

9. Security

Data is encrypted between the app and our servers, sign-in tokens are kept in your phone's secure storage, and we check that requests come from a genuine copy of the app. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires. To report a weakness, see Support.

10. Age limit

Tagsbay is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has an account, tell us at privacy@tagsbay.com and we'll delete it.

11. Where data is stored

We store data with Amazon Web Services, in the region closest to the market you use, starting with the United Arab Emirates. Some service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States; when they do, we use the safeguards the law requires.

12. This website

tagsbay.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies. Our web server may briefly keep technical logs, such as network addresses, to keep the site secure.

13. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
